Tony Lazaga, 53, teacher from Bacolod found dead with multiple stab wounds

Today, news of Mr Tony Lazaga, a 53-year-old male teacher, passing away unexpectedly surfaced. In the Municipality of Binalbagan, he was discovered dead in the early morning hours with numerous stab wounds.

Mr Lazaga is well-known for his vivacious demeanour and sense of humour in the classroom. Keep reading to know more about it in detail.

Tony Lazaga death: What happened?

At 3:30 in the morning on August 16, the teacher of Binalbagan Catholic College found bleed to death from a deep wound close to his boarding house on Dumas St. Brgy. Saint Peter.

The 51-year-old victim, identified as Tony Lazaga, was temporarily residing at Brgy. 35 in Bacolod.

The victim returned to his boarding house in Banwa Sang Binalbagan after attending a birthday party in Bacolod City, claims Police Lieutenant Glen Portunes, the deputy chief of police for Binalbagan PNP.

According to PCapt. Glen C Portunes, deputy chief of police of the Binalbagan Municipal Police Station, a tricycle driver told them that he hit two of his passengers while avoiding a man who was begging for a dwarf.

Based on the inquiry, the victim may have been involved in a fight with the unidentified suspect who was shot multiple times. Lazaga was the victim of the ten body stab wounds.

Is it a robbery case?

Captain Portunes speculates that the culprit and victim may still be engaged in a struggle over who gets to keep the equipment for themselves.

Although it was apparent that the victim’s smartphone had been used, his wallet and laptop still contained all of the victim’s money. Authorities believed that the crime was the result of a hold-up robbery.

One of the two knives that the police found was covered in dried blood.

Lazaga was taken to Binalbagan Infirmary, where his attending physician immediately declared him dead.

Justice for Tony Lazaga:

The sudden death of Mr. Tony Lazaga shocked the whole UNO-R Supreme Student community. The UNO-R Supreme Student Government demands an immediate investigation so that justice can be served right away.

They also condemn any form of violence that endangers the security and well-being of the institution’s faculty, students, and employees.

Tony Lazaga was an Associate Professor at University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos and Binalbagan Catholic College, Inc. He pursued his education at the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos and the La Consolacion College in Bacolod City.

He enjoyed cycling, traveling to new areas, and inspiring students no matter what. His friendliness made him popular with the students.

The innumerable prayers and condolences Tony Lazaga received from his neighborhood, his coworkers, and his students showed the outpouring of love and adoration for him.

The abrupt death of Tony Lazaga, who was well-liked and respected in the neighborhood, shocked everyone. Both coworkers and students shared their loss and remembered his generosity and friendly personality.
