Albion, Michigan native JC Oliver Jr. played the piano, drums, and bass. He had two children, and up until his passing, he lived in Lansing, Michigan. Additionally, he was the prodigal son of JC Oliver Sr., pastor of Holy Light Missionary Baptist Church.

He performs musical entertainment at the Holy Light Missionary Baptist Church in Battle Creek, Michigan.Jc Oliver’s ability to play the guitar, piano, and drums was one of his strengths. His talent was genuine. His antics during choir and praise team practices are fondly recalled by many people.

Along with other musicians, he performed music at church frequently. He also played freelance music for gatherings. He was a talented musician who could play any instrument. He would always be accessible to anyone who required a musician for any occasion.

I can’t believe my little brother is gone my heart is broken forever

He wrote plays for the church, as everyone recalls. He was such a gifted individual. Webson Juste’s family, friends, and coworkers at the Holy Light Missionary Baptist Church are all grieving deeply over his passing.

The news of his passing has shocked the neighborhood and devastated his friends, family, and coworkers. The community must now bear the weight of continuing a beloved member’s legacy of tenacity, morality, and inspiration while simultaneously grieving his passing.

So many memories with you at Holy Light, traveling to Grand Rapids, Jackson, down south and etc. When I lead Better Days, you encouraged me and said “Raven you can sangggggg”…….The best piano player in MI. We don’t know the day we leave this earth, nor the time we enter. I’m praying for your family, your wife/kids, and the many hearts and lives you touched through music, your laughter, and just simply being you.”
