Samy Lenwr Car Accident: Popular Cameroonian aka Mfegue Fefoué Leonard died

Samy Lenwr, one of the most talented and adored Cameroonian actors in the sub-region has passed away on July 6, 2023. Read on to know more about his cause of death. 

How did Samy Lenwr die?

Samy Lenwr, a young Cameroonian web comedian best known for his comedy roles, has passed away in a horrifying car accident while en route to Kribi, South Region. 

He was taken to the hospital immediately and given to intensive care, a source said. Unfortunately, the gravely injured young actor died early on Thursday, around 3 a.m. 

This sad news was announced by Jambo Fm radio in the following social media statement that reads,

We have just learned of the death of the Cameroonian artist Samy Lenwr, death which occurred around 3 a.m. of this young comedian actor. Rip! May his soul rest in peace.

Who was Samy Lenwr?

Samy Lenwr whose real name is Mfegue Fefoué Leonard, was not only a web comic but also an actor, a photographer, and a producer. 

Léonard FEFOA AKA Samy Labrute was born on October 13, 1989 in Yaoundé in a family of three brothers of which he is the youngest; of a Cameroonian mother and an Egyptian father.

He passed his secondary exams in a local establishment and continued his studies at the University of Yaoundé II (SOA) where he studied law.

Passionate about music since his early childhood, his kindergarten mistresses had not made a mistake in bringing him to interpret songs and this was perpetuated each end of the year during the handing over of report cards until he arrived at the college.

Although he was a member of the local choir, he then decided to write his first texts and find a pseudonym, hence that of Samy Labrute, a charismatic character from a mafia film. For his comrades Samy has the profile and can do better.

Samy was a fan of the music of artists such as Petit Pays, youssour’ ndour Ismaël lô, Ménélik, Mc Sollar, La fouine to name but a few.

Following all these changes, Samy Labrute forms a crew with his comrades so Samy du mic, Jok6 Prolifik and a girl Jaycika the name of the crew is SAMY.

The group appears on many shows such as MTN Trace Mobile during the 2010 University Games and Challenge vacance 2010. But this one will not go further and Samy decides to embark on a solo career.

Solo, he performs on even larger stages and is in great demand. From fairs to red carpets, no scene escapes her.

Samy Labrute is an album in preparation of which one of the key titles “Bobotonik” turns a lot and with success in the radios and on the internet.

Young Cameroonian artist Samy Lenwr debuted on the scene in 2009. He made his comeback in 2018 with the song “Let me not fall,” a video in which he begs his darling not to let him down. Later, he made the decision to pursue web humour. The young actor was friends with Poupee du Togo and Cabrel Nanjip. 

Samy Lenwr cause of death:

Samy was engaged in an automobile accident in Kribi in Cameroon’s southern region. After the accident that injured his arm, he was sent to a hospital in Yaoundé, where he underwent surgery on his arm before passing away.

His close friends and colleagues have posted condolences on social media in response to his loss.

Cameroonian web comedian, Samy Lenwr is no more. He died today, July 6th.
