A fatal wrong-way crash killed one person named John Marshall on Sunday near Gene Snyder. This incident is being looked into by the Louisville Metro Police Department. Keep reading to know more.

Gene Snyder crash explained:

One person was killed in a fatal wrong-way collision on the Gene Snyder early on Sunday. Officers responded to a complaint of a collision on I-265 West at Beulah Church Road at around 5 a.m., according to Louisville Metro spokeswoman Dwight Mitchell.

It was confirmed that the victim was a resident of KY and his name is John Marshall. Early inquiry, according to police, revealed that a car that caught fire when it collided head-on with a box truck while driving east in the westbound lanes.

What happened to John Marshall?

The car’s driver, John Marshall passed away before to being transferred to the hospital. Police are unsure if there were any further occupants in the car, according to Mitchell.

It was known that the deceased driver was John Marshall who was the resident of Louisville, Kentucky. He was a hard working family man. He left behind a beautiful little girl.

The driver of the box truck was unharmed. The Traffic Unit of the LMPD is now looking into this matter.
Since the collision, all lanes have been cleared and reopened, according to TRIMARC, as of 10:04 a.m.
