Dear Elvis Friends & Family –

Our Elvis family has gotten a little smaller today… Our dear friend Eddie Watson piano player for the David Fontana Band, has passed. He was such a sweet man. Blessed for the times we were able to play together, shocked that our show last month was to be the last. To lose David, and now Eddie, in a year and a half is devastating. Take that extra five minutes to visit with someone you love, it could be your last chance.

Please keep his two children in your prayers, as they recently lost their mother too.

Such a Sad Evening…A Man that so many in the Elvis community knew and loved and someone I had come to know as a friend and band member has gone home to be with our Father in Heaven. Eddie Watson was such a sweet, humble, kind and talented man. He was such a joy to talk with and perform music with. While we haven’t known him as long as many in the Elvis community, I knew Eddie long enough to know he was an incredibly special person and we shared some incredibly special times on stage together. I am thankful and grateful to have known Eddie and I will never forget our chats and the many moments we had playing music and the ones we were all looking forward to together. I pray for his family and loved ones during this time and I also know Eddie is in the company of those he missed very much and that is an area of comfort while we are broken hearted and processing his loss.
Play on Piano Man,
Brooke

… I’m going to miss Eddie Watson! He never interfered with my Bass area spectrum. He knew what to play for sure! Eddie was such a sweet and gentle person to work with. We talked about music and we thought a lot alike. I’m shocked and realize this year with each passing day how special life is . He brought many smiles to my face while we played together. I hope to do the same for others as we continue on this road to happy destiny …

Chuck Smith commented,

I’m so sorry to hear of this. Those who are dedicated to the continued legacy know how devastating this can be. May he always be remembered for all the gigs you did together, and especially the time spent together. May he rest in peace. Prayers to friends and family.
