Jordan Taylor, who mysteriously disappeared after being last seen on January 6, was found dead. Let’s see what happened to the missing law student in detail.

How did Jordan Taylor die?

Jordan Taylor, a first-year law student at the University of New York who went missing on January 6, 2023, was declared dead by his brother on March 12, 2023.

Yesterday, Jordan’s brother, Alton Taylor Jr. updated this sad news, saying,

“With a heavy heart, we wish to acknowledge the pain and loss of my brother, Jordan…He received his wings and his spirit will remain a permanent part of who we are. As we experience our grief, we will begin the process of healing. We will always cherish our memories of him……Rest in Power Osiris!!”

Thank you all so much who helped in the search process and efforts! Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.”

However, how they found Jordan or the circumstances around his death are not revealed yet.

What happened to Jordan Taylor?

The Queens-based native of Nyack went for a haircut, but departed unexpectedly in the middle of the trim and hasn’t been seen since.

He shared a picture on Facebook and then, reportedly, showed up at the Port Authority Bus Terminal hours later.

“He was hanging for like three hours or so. So it’s kind of strange, like, I guess maybe meeting someone? We weren’t entirely sure at the time,” said Alton Taylor, Jordan’s brother.

He believes Jordan went to the LGBTQ nightclub The Q, where John Umberger encountered two men and was drugged, robbed, and left for dead while visiting New York City.

Now, Jordan Taylor’s death news has saddened the authorities, family, and acquaintances. He worked on the campaigns of Anthony Delgado, the current lieutenant governor, and Nick Mosby, the president of the Baltimore City Council.

Jordan Taylor missing:

Jordan had a haircut in Queens on January 6, 2023, and was subsequently spotted close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

His phone data show that he most likely went to The Q, a bar in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen district.  The Q is an LBGTQ club located at 795 8th Avenue.

His wallet was found on January 7, 2023, in Battery Park City, close to the Goldman Sachs Building on West Street.

“We got a call at 9:30 saying that someone found his wallet in Battery Park by Goldman Sachs,” his brother, Alton Taylor, told NBC NY.

Since then, no one has seen or heard from Jordan. Taylor was last seen alive in Queens, so it’s unclear whether his wallet and phone were on him or stolen.

As his wallet and phone were discovered at two different locations in Manhattan, it confused authorities in locating him.

It is with a heavy heart that i got the news of my dear brother Jordan Taylor returning home to the ancestors. For those of us who knew him, community was his passion, justice was his calling, and love was everything he had. Him and I protested together, were activist together, and believed in the power of community together. The bully from pulpit, the problematic poet, Asante Sana Hermano. I love you.
