Senior Ryan Plowman attended Palos Heights’ Alan B. Shepard High School. The Crestwood couple knew they had produced a decent person, but they are only now becoming aware of the extent of Ryan’s good deeds. The mother of Ryan, Jennifer Plowman, added, “He also had Crohn’s Disease. They believe that the Crohn’s disease medication caused him to have a weakened immune system. According to Ryan’s parents, he always wanted to become a pharmacist so that he could work to help people.
Funds were raised to cover his medical costs
Ryan was one of those exceptional kids that coaches dream about having on their squad, according to Zeno Toscas , Ryan’s soccer coach at Alan B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights. Toscas said, He worked hard on the field and off, and he was simply one of those guys who I thought if I had a team of Ryan Plowman’s, it would be one of the most enjoyable experiences a coach could ever wish for. This Suburban High school student was simply one of those people you were glad to engage with.

For anyone who was not Blessed enough by Ryan, you should know he was an amazing young man. Smart, kind, and humble. He was also named All-Conference for defense for soccer last month. He was the kind of young man others could look up to. He will be missed.

It’s a horrible tragedy either way but I pray he wasn’t vaccinated!! It’s not a coincidence that so many young people are dying and or getting cancer. RIP buddy!! 🙏🏻

My son had the pleasure of being Ryan’s teammate this year. He will be dearly missed. His father Dan coached my younger son for the Crestwood soccer club where many of Ryan’s teammates played as well through the years.

So sad. Mono isn’t deadly. Don’t know why they made it sound that way. Just because he was diagnosed with it doesn’t mean that’s what killed him. Too many young people have been dying lately.
