Police identified the victim as 32-year-old East Hartford resident Emilio Camacho. Hartford, Connecticut Police in Hartford are looking into a homicide that happened early on Saturday morning in the 400 block of Zion Street.
As a result of a ShotSpotter alert, police were dispatched to the area at approximately 3:09 am.
Zion Street shooting explained:
Emilio Camacho aka Gaby Fullete died in the Zion Street shooting. A gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital in a private vehicle, where he succumbed to his wounds, according to the police.
A section of the road is sealed off by police tape, and police are on the scene. As of 6:40 a.m., police were still on the scene on Zion Street, and part of the road was cordoned off with police tape.
According to Hartford police Lt. Aaron Boisvert, officers are looking into whether the shots were fired from a vehicle that passed during a small gathering.
