Provincial Administrator Dr Samson Amean died: Cause of death Explained

Provincial Administrator Dr. Samson Amean died at 3.30 pm today. Enga’s longest-serving Provincial Administrator, Dr. Samson Amean died at POMGEN, when he has hospitalized at Port Moresby General hospital.

How did Samson Amean die?

Samson worked for the Enga people and he first served as a Senior Medical Officer at the Wabag Health Centre and then as Administrator for the Department of Enga until his death. He passed away when he was admitted to the Port Moresby General hospital for treatment. Following the death of the Adventist leader Pastor Kove Tau, one more death announcement shocked friends, relatives, and coworkers of the Enga nation.

While he has been hospitalized, Dr. Lino Tom, Health Minister, and Wabag MP shared a post on his Facebook message that reads,

“Everything rises and falls on Leadership according to one of the world’s foremost experts on Leadership, John C Maxwell.”

“It required a Governor (Sir Peter Ipatas) with an iron fist to rule and instill order to a very difficult province in its infancy.

“However, it required an even stronger leader to administer and preside over a stubborn and unruly race on a day-to-day basis.

“My big brother, leader, and dear friend, Enga owes you a lot for all its progress this far. I owe you for your mentorship. Your discipline, astute mind, very strong will, and leadership principles and values have ushered in the Enga we see today.

“In case you think we’ve taken you for granted. We have not. You and all the hard-working public servants who’ve kept our province on course. We thank you and hold you in our hearts.

We and our children will ever be grateful for all your sacrifices and hard work in the years to come. May God continue to bless you richly in the years ahead,”

Dr. Samson Amean’s Cause of death

Dr. Samson Amean’s reason for death has not been officially announced yet. He has been hospitalized for some treatment, but it is not disclosed, why he was hospitalized. Medico topics have been trying to reach out to the family and relatives for comment on the incident. So far no responses have been received. Who is Dr. Samson Amean?

Dr. Samson Amean is a professional doctor and initially, he served the public for free for about 15 years before his elevation. He worked as a Senior Medical Officer at the Wabag Health Centre. After that, he continued to serve as an Administrator for the Department of Enga until his death. Samson is the only administrator who continued serving for more than 2 decades. He has been serving the country for more than 20 years.

He has given the Province his full attention for the past 30 years, and today Enga Province is advancing and developing some infrastructure. Dr. Samson Amean, who passed away, was an upright man. In order to provide the finest services to the people, he served the Province in a transparent, responsible, and honest manner.

It is with great sadness, that the Sons and Daughters of Enga Province, hear of the passing of our Provincial Administrator(Longest Serving Provincial Administrator in PNG) and one of the Two stallions of modern Enga, the Late Dr. Samson Amean today.

You will be remembered for years to come as the man who stood tall behind GC Sir Peter Ipatas to deliver modern Enga which is now renowned and admired around the country. You did this after leaving a very successful medical career to go back to build your province. You have since served your province well and we will be forever grateful.

Enga lost Another son today. 20 years ago, Enga wasn’t the same as it seems today, as someone may think. It is the product of stability provided wholeheartedly by the best hardworking persons in charge~ Dr. Samson Amean, (who passed away today at 3 pm) in coincidence with the governor, GCSPI.

The legacy left behind development and footage of elevating the standard and playing stewardship with motives and courage to change the face of Enga was your character.

The longest-serving PA (Dr. Samson Amean) of Enga has passed on. The 18th of March this year (2022) was the last time you called and emailed me and discussed how we will help remote people of Nete Lyaim region.
Your kind voice of encouragement through the phone call will never be forgotten.
