Britney Murphy, a well-known TikToker, has been named as a victim of the horrific vehicle accident on Monday that also claimed the life of her mother Sherie Smith. Keep reading to know more about Britney Joy Car Accident in detail.

On Monday, a car accident claimed the lives of beloved TikToker Britney Murphy (left) and her mother Sherie Smith (60). When Murphy and her mother Sherie Smith, 60, were travelling to Houston’s Emancipation Park to celebrate Juneteenth, they got killed in a collision.

Cofield claimed that her mother and sister had just left her house to attend the celebration.

She continued by saying that she came across the accident while she was walking home.

Tiffany Smith Cofield, Murphy’s sister and Smith’s daughter, told ABC 13,

“There will never be a time when I won’t miss my mother and my sister. They were my best friends. They were everything,

“It looked like her car and everybody, when I was walking up, said a mom and daughter died and I knew they had left and knew the only mom and daughter would be my mom and sister.”

She claimed that the TikTok celebrity and her mother had tragically died in a car accident “involving a reckless driver in Houston.” The accident’s time, nature, or scene have not been disclosed to the public in any other way.

A police officer and chaplain reportedly prayed for Cofield at the site, according to Eyewitness News.

According to Houston police, Murphy was driving the vehicle when a truck struck the vehicle she and her mother were in. There are currently no charges, but an investigation is still going on.

Cofield said the family is not “adequately prepared” to bury Murphy and Smith at the same time, so a GoFundMe page has been set up.

My mom and sister were tragically taken away from us way too soon in an accident involving a reckless driver in Houston. This was just as my sister, beloved TikToker Britney Joy, began rising up in fame for her 9-5 videos that hit the internet by storm. Everyone related to her stories and those of her characters.

Unfortunately, we were not adequately prepared to have to lay both my sister and mother to rest at the same time. This happened so suddenly and was truly something I could have never imagine. Losing my best friends.

For Britney Joy’s fans, we are hoping to do a memorial service for her and my mother to celebrate both lives.”

Out of a $70,000 target, the fundraising has so far raised $55,000.

Britney’s Highschool friend Brittney Patton wrote: “I am so saddened to hear about this news, my long-term friend from high school who was killed in a tragic car, accident her and her mom such a beautiful person gone to soon  rest in peace to both of you guys Britney Joy”

Crystal Bee wrote: “That’s so sad she died after this video posted she’s so funny to me.. it’s so scary you don’t know when your time ends.. rip Britney joy”
