He was one of the Reichmann corporate empire’s five controlling brothers. One of the top 100 wealthiest families in Canada is the Reichmann family.

Career
Paul and Ralph Reichmann, two of his younger brothers, had established businesses in Toronto when Reichmann moved there. Their 8.4 billion dollar corporation, Olympia and York, had Paul as its president in 1989.

Albert Reichmann tried to help them immigrate to Israel using his resources and power. Albert Reichmann reportedly lobbied congress about Israel and Libya in 1993. In Brooklyn, New York, his endowment is located.
