Marlboro Multi-vehicle crash
Two motorbike riders have died after a multi-vehicle collision in Marlboro on Monday night, according to a statement made on Tuesday by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.
The Marlboro Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Route 18 northbound close to County Road 520 on Monday night, July 24, 2023. Officers who arrived on the scene found that two motorcycles and three cars were involved in the incident.
According to the investigation, the three cars that were involved in the collision—along with a 2005 Suzuki GSX and a 2001 Yamaha YZF motorcycle—were a 2019 Hyundai Tucson, a 2017 Subaru Impreza, and a 2008 Mercedes-Benz 550. On-site medical personnel pronounced both motorbike riders dead.
The Tucson driver and their passenger were brought to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries to be treated.

Marlboro police officers are looking into the crash
During a deadly car accident on Route 18, a young man from Keansburg, New Jersey, perished. Police stated that Route 18 is closed in both directions between Route 520 and Route 79 as we investigate a serious motor vehicle crash. The officers are on location and detours will be in place shortly.
Authorities asked the public to avoid the area. Currently active and ongoing investigations involve the Marlboro Township Police Department, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
