Albany shooting:

Benjamin Rowe, a 25-year-old musician died in the Albany shooting incident. Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 2:05 a.m. on the 500 block of Hamilton Street between Ontario and Partridge Streets. 

Officers arrived and discovered Benjamin Rowe, 25, outside with gunshot wounds to his body. Rowe was attended to by emergency responders at the site and sent to Albany Medical Centre Hospital, where he was later declared dead. 

He was declared dead at the Medical Centre Hospital. Although both occurrences are still being looked at, they don’t seem to be related at this time.

How did Benjamin Rowe die?

Albany Police are still looking into two different homicides that happened early on Sunday. Officers responded to reports of a shooting on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at about 12:45 a.m. in the vicinity of Myrtle Avenue and Philip Streets. 

Deandre Morrison, 28, of Albany was found by the responding officers with gunshot wounds to his torso. 

Officers responded to reports of a shooting at 2:05 a.m. on the 500 block of Hamilton Street between Ontario and Partridge Streets. Officers arrived and discovered Benjamin Rowe, 25, outside with gunshot wounds to his body. Rowe was attended to by emergency medical personnel at the scene and sent to Albany TIME 🙏🏾 

Benjamin Rowe cause of death:

Rowe died after sustaining injuring from gunshot wounds. Ben played with bands like The Idiot Flesh, Bonginator, and others.

Ben was a one-of-a-kind person, and Miller Time was undoubtedly one of the 518’s most distinctive bands. 

His family will provide all pertinent information about the obituary, funeral plans, and memorial services when the time is appropriate.

The family’s enduring love for Ben and their commitment to keeping his memory alive are proof of the significant contribution he made while he was with them.

R.I.P to Benjamin Rowe.
He gave us our first steps into playing shows and always supported us from day 1.
Because of him we got to play with bands like Bonginator, The Idiot Flesh, and more.
He not only booked us a bunch but came out to any of our shows he possibly could. Always dancing, getting merch, and chatting with the bands. He really supported the underground scene with true heart. Needless to say we are devastated right now.
