It is with great sadness that w inform you of the death of an emperor of our school community, Mr. Toby Maykuth, who died on May 23, 2023. Mr. Maykuth was & a kindergarten teacher at Smithfield Elementary School and was also the director of our musical and drama department for the district.

For almost 20 years, Maykuth was a kindergarten teacher at Smithfield Elementary. He oversaw the high school’s theatrical program and served as its musical director. He was also a part of the Uniontown State Theatre.
Toby was a kind-hearted man and served as a role model to many others in the community. After losing Toby, the whole community is mourning.

He was a positive person.
