RIP Benji…With sincere gratitude I thank you, for recognizing what talent I have, and inviting me into your community of musicians for “da Jam”. A saying that will always bring you to mind.God bless you and watch over you.
I lived in seaside for years and my wife and I would go see Dr. Cheeko every weekend at the Bermuda club. RiP my friend.
I had the honor to sing with Dr Cheeko 30 years ago around the Jersey Shore area and in Atlantic City. My most cherished moments when the “doctor “ invited me to sing and preach despite my physical disabilities. “Lean on Me” will always be our song. Thank you for allowing me to share God’s gift with millions of friends and accompanying me while I sang our National Anthem for the NBA playoffs Philadelphia 76er’s. Rest In Peace Until We Meet Again.
RIP Big Bamboo!!!!!!!!
