How the twin babies got stolen?
The twins were left in their mother’s 2010 Honda Accord at a Donatos Pizza in Columbus a few minutes before 9:45 p.m. On Monday, as she went inside to pick up a Door Dash order, Chief Bryant said at the news conference on Tuesday.
Employees claimed Jackson, a homeless woman who was eventually recognized, was in the pizza, but left before the mother entered, according to the chief.
According to Chief Bryant, police received a call at 9:45 p.m., reporting that a car with two children inside had been stolen from the Donatos.
The mother of the twins calls 911 and begs the police to find the individual who took her car while the kids were inside. As the call proceeds, the audio becomes inaudible at times as the mother breaks down crying. She called 911 and said, “Someone just stole my car. My babies are in there.”
Within seven minutes, she claimed, officers arrived on the scene. Officers examined Jackson’s previously known addresses and three homeless camps within an hour and a half of getting the report, according to the chief.
At 11:45 p.m., a Columbus police sergeant asked the Ohio State Highway Patrol to issue a statewide Amber Alert, according to Chief Bryant.
Amber Alert:
Ambert Alert has been issued after the missing of twin babies. Officers stated during the press conference that twenty minutes had passed with no Amber Alert being sent out. The Amber Alert wasn’t released until 1:37 in the morning.
Chief Bryant said, “there was a lapse of communication from the executive level” that resulted in the alert not been released earlier. She claimed that the “lapse” is being investigated.
Elaine Bryant, the chief of police in Columbus, stated, “Right now, getting the infant is our focus. “We want to make sure that Kasson is safe. That is our number one priority.
We are concerned about everything, but we want to make sure that we bring that Baby Home to their family.”
We need your help bringing 5-month-old Kason Thomass home to his family. Please be diligent in looking for the 2010 Black Honda Accord and person of interest Nalah Jackson. Anyone with information should call 614-645-4701. https://t.co/vI7oHlyPaa

Authorities learned that one of the infants, Kyair, was located at the Dayton International Airport parking lot nearly three hours after the Amber Alert was sent out.
Bryant said Kyair was well and is now secure. Deputy Chief Smith Weir, who also appeared at the news conference, is concerned that just Kyair was left at the airport. He begged Jackson to deliver Kasson back to them or drop him off somewhere secure, as did Chief Bryant.
At the commencement of the press conference on Tuesday, Chief Bryant called to Jackson, “Please return Kasson Thomass.” Police in Columbus released photographs of Jackson and her stolen automobile after she stopped at a Huber Heights gas station to ask an employee for the money.
Thomas family pleaded to return their twin:
The five-month-old Kason and Kyair Thomas’ family were looking for Kason, who was still missing after his twin brother Kyair was found in an airport parking lot, all day Tuesday and into Wednesday night, according to Lachez Thomas, 23, who spoke to The Dispatch on their behalf.
Thomas described the agonizing hunt for his lost son as “It’s indescribable — there’s no words for this,”
The kids’ paternal grandmother, Fonda Thomas, 44, said the family is still in disbelief over the kidnapping. She claimed that the twins were adored and that their “adorable smiles” lighted up the room.
“(Kason is) loved; he has a family,” Fonda Thomas said. “He’s not yours, he does not belong to you. Give him back to us.”
One of the twin child was discovered in a car seat between two vehicles in the airport’s metered parking area by a passerby. Despite the cold, the boy was tested and found to be medically well before being returned to his family.
Tuesday, Kason’s father, Lachez Thomas, requested that she bring Kason to a secure area from the woman who is thought to have fled with his children. She should just drop my child off at a police station, fire station, or a secure hospital, according to Thomas.
Kyair Thomas, according to Fonda Thomas, needs his twin brother.
Nalah Jackson wanted by the Police:
Kason Thomass, who was in his mother’s car when it was stolen in the Short North last night, is still being sought after. Nalah Jackson, the suspect, was subsequently seen on camera asking a gas station attendant for money in Huber Heights.
The hunt for the missing children has enlisted the assistance of numerous law enforcement authorities. More than a dozen residences that were formerly connected to Jackson were visited by officers. Police searched from the Ohio Highway Patrol, Ohio State University, Grandview, and the Upper Arlington police department, according to Bryant. In addition, three homeless camps were examined.
