A Lawrence County lady has been charged with murder after killing two small children in Mitchell, IN. Indiana State police is now investigating the case. Read on to learn more about Brittany Medina in detail.

What happened to the two children?

Two children whose names were not revealed were discovered dead at Mitchell’s home. The residence is located in northeast of Mitchell, Minnesota, at the intersection of state routes 37 and 60, close to a dollar store.

Their bodies were moved from Mitchell to Bedford by the Lawrence County Coroner’s Office once they arrived on the scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled. The investigation into the crime continues, and detectives are collaborating with the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the release, Brittany Medina was detained. Her hometown was not given, and it was not immediately clear if she resides in the house.

Who is Brittany Medina?

Brittany Medina is a 33-year-old woman who has been arrested for two counts of murder. She was arrested for killing two Children ages one and three, who were discovered dead inside a residence near Mitchell.

As per the AISP, the Mitchell Police Department reported that a 3-year-old male child and a 1-year-old female child were discovered dead at a residence in the 1200 block of Brook Street at around 4 o’clock.

ISP reports that Brittany Medina, 33, was identified as a suspect and detained on two counts of murder. Medina has been put into the county jail, according to representatives of Lawrence County’s Jail Division on Tuesday night.

Death Investigation:

A murder investigation is ongoing after the death of two children. According to the Indiana State Police, detectives from the Bloomington post were asked Tuesday afternoon to assist in an investigation into the death of two children at a home in Lawrence County.

Relationship between the suspect and children and other information is being withheld by the police. Nothing further is being revealed while the investigation is ongoing.

ISP says that “All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
