I’m at a total shock and lost for words. Your presence and smile would take over a room. Your love for boxing cars and travel was a testament to how you lived your life to the fullest.

What happened to Erin Fitchette?

Erin Fitchette passed away suddenly on September 26, 2023. Boxing community is in complete shock after hearing this sad news.

Erin’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed by the family, yet. As soon as we find out more information, we’ll update this story.

As a proud member of the NYPD boxer team, Erin exhibited the same grit and determination that characterized his work. He trained tirelessly, honing his skills. His exceptional prowess as a boxer earned him numerous accolades and trophies, making him a source of pride for the department.

Beyond his achievements in the ring, Erin was a beloved mentor and friend to many within the NYPD and the boxing community. His wisdom, patience, and sense of camaraderie endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Outside of his professional life, he had a passion for giving back to the community. He actively engaged in community outreach programs, mentoring youth, and instilling in them the values of discipline and hard work.
