What happened to the 11 year old girl , Amethyst Silva?
11-year-old killed on New Year’s Day by celebratory gunfire. According to her father, she was shot in the back on Middlecoff, next to Everhart, and just outside the exit for the Allure Apartments.
Amethyst and her family were watching the 2023 New Year’s fireworks display when someone opened fire with many shots in the location they were gathered. According to her father, she yelled “Ouch!” when she heard many bullets pierce the metal gate next to them.
As soon as he realized what had happened, he took her to a neighboring hospital, where she passed away.
How did she die?
After She got shot from outside the Allure Apartments exit, Her father realized and acted immediately. The community showed support in honor of 11-year-old Amethyst Silva who was shot and killed by a stray bullet on New Year. The candlelight vigil took place Sunday at 6 p.m. at the Allure Apartments on Middlecoff Drive near Everhart Road. A candlelight vigil will be held tonight at 7 pm at the site of the shooting. Investigation on Process
The event was provided security by the Corpus Christi Police Department. The shooter responsible remains at large. The police department started investing in the tragic incident that happened at the Allure Apartments exit. Cops have been in front of those townhomes all day. Sources said that hoped they find the shooter.

My daughter is 10 but will turn 11yrs old this year, this hits close to home I can’t help but feel sad asf for the parents when I saw the news at 10 pm I teared up big time listening to the dad trynna talk and cry, my deepest condolences to the family may she rest in paradise
