David Hill, a former member of the Gold City Quartet, has passed away. Let’s see how did the singer die and his cause of death in detail.

How did David Hill die?

David, the lead vocalist from 1994-1996 has passed away. Gold City Quartet announced this sad news on social media, saying,

We are saddened to report the passing of one of our own alumni. Former member, lead vocalist David Hill, graduated to Heaven after a courageous battle with cancer.

Danny Riley says, “David was a fine lead singer. Many will remember he was the original voice on Gold City’s classic, ‘I’m Not Giving Up.’ In addition to his singing, he was a great preacher, too. He was truly at home on the stage and was a great friend. He will be missed. Please pray for his family during this time.”

Who was David Hill?

Hill had a powerful lead vocal that was incredibly smooth and similar to Ivan’s in that context but delivered it in a different way.

He’s praised for having the ability to move between groups, including Anchormen, Singing Americans, Perrys, Nelons, Gold City, and his own group Malachi. That vocalist has a pretty impressive resume but never managed to settle down anywhere.

Before he received the call to ministry, David was a part of the well-known Gold City Quartet. About six months after leaving Gold City, Hill recalls attending a Sunday morning service at a local church. He later became a pastor of that church.

Hill sang with his wife and family friend in The David Hill Trio after touring with bands like the Nelons and the Perrys.

He was a member of: Lord Do It AgainClassicsStanding in the Gap, and Having Fun.

Groups:

David was a member of the following groups:

  • He was a member of Singing Americans
  • The Anchormen
  • Malachi
  • The Nelons
  • The Perrys
  • Soloist
  • The David Hill Trio
