On June 25, 2023, musician Eric Reed of the Park Church unexpectedly passed away.

Eric Reed’s pals posted their condolences on Facebook, which brought the tragic news to light.

“I swear… death just comes and snatches your loved ones and friends without warning!!! … i’m so sorry to hear that you passed Eric Reed You were one of the “few” who always supported me as a leader in the Union… you kept encouraging me to forget the naysayers!! Sorry that you JUST retired and couldn’t get to enjoy it!!! I’m praying for your family to have strength during this difficult time. #piedmontstrong”

Eric Reed’s Facebook profile states that he worked in The Park Church. In addition to attending Buffalo Academy for the Visual and Performing Arts, he attended Buffalo State College (SUNY). He was born in Buffalo, New York, and lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, until he passed away.
