Terry Meeuwsen, a co-host of the 700 Club, and her family are in deep sorrow over the death of Andy Friedrich, who passed away over the weekend. Andy was adored and respected by all of us at CBN. He was a parent, grandpa, coach, athlete, and all of the above.
Please pray for Terry and her family during this difficult time of loss. May God’s comfort and peace be upon them. Here’s what we know about Andrew Friedrich’s cause of death.
What happened to Andrew Friedrich?
Terry Meeuwsen, 700 Club Co-host, lost her husband over the weekend. The love of his life, Terry, and Andrew P. Friedrich, sometimes known as Andy, were united in marriage for 42 years.
An outstanding athlete, he worked for the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team, played basketball for Al McGuire at Marquette University, and served in the U.S. Air Force along the way.
Andy was the father of seven children, enjoyed leading their sports teams, and was a devoted grandfather to his six grandchildren and one future grandchild.
The majority of people are aware of Terry’s participation with Orphan’s Promise, but Andy’s “yes” to adopting their children from Ukraine was a key factor in the ministry’s foundation. He supposedly never encountered a stranger.
Andrew Friedrich cause of death
Since Terry Meeuwsen was Andy’s wife for many years before he passed away this weekend, his coworkers will miss her at the 700 Club for some time. The age of Andy Friedrich was 76.
As a long-time 700 Club participant, we hope that His Righteousness of Peace, the Peace that surpasses all understanding, will comfort her. Please offer her family a prayer.
According to official sources, his death occurred over the weekend. Additionally, we learned from our study that Andy had a stroke and received hospital care before passing away.
Andy suffered a stroke on March 7 that left him hospitalized for 6 long weeks. During his hospital stay, other health issues, including his Parkinson’s disease, compounded leaving him immobile and unable to return home.
He is now in a wonderful, small home care center where he is receiving personal and attentive care from an incredible staff.
