We regret to announce the passing of Ed DeCosta this past weekend. Ed was a fantastic motivator, an excellent teacher, a mentor, and an influence for good in the world.

Although his supporters will mourn him, they will never forget the impact he had. He has left behind quite a legacy. We are appreciative of his effect on so many of us.

Ed DeCosta passed away at 60

Ed DeCosta was one of the finest mentors and a man of honor, of integrity, who loved his beautiful wife Linda DeCosta and was so proud of his amazing family. 

His demise news was broken by his daughter Laura DeCosta on social media who wrote that her father has passed away unexpectedly on August 4th. Read his daughter’s post below:

Hello, friends of my wonderful father, Ed DeCosta. It is with complete heartbreak that I must announce he unexpectedly passed away yesterday, August 4th. My dad was a devoted husband, loving father, and amazing friend. He was a man of faith. My family will be sharing arrangements as they are made in the coming days. Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown, WV will be handling all arrangements. Please join my family in prayer as we mourn this devastating loss.

 

Cause of death

According to a statement from his family, Ed DeCosta’s death was untimely. His exact cause of death was not disclosed by his family or on social media.

Although, Michael DeCosta his brother said that he had to undergo difficult heart surgery as a child because, without it, he would not have lived to adulthood.
