Alhaji Hassan Sule, son of Abdullahi Sule, governor of Nasarawa State, passed away. On Saturday, June 25, 2022, he had a lavish wedding to Salamatu Muhammad Odeh. He passed away seven months later.
Prominent Nigerians, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man, and the governors of Kano, Ogun, and Borno—Abdullahi Ganduje, Dapo Abiodun, and Professor Babagana Zulum—were present at the wedding, which took place at the palace of the Emir of Keffi.
According to Vanguard, the State House of Assembly representative for the Lafia North Constituency, Hon. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali expressed his disbelief at hearing the news.

Hassan passed away in the wee hours of January 26, 2023, following a brief illness. In a statement, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ibrahim Addra, said Hassan, aged 36, died on Thursday night after a brief illness.
Part of the statement reads, “His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, on behalf of his family announces the sudden demise of his son, Hassan A. A Sule whose sad event occurred on Thursday, January 26, 2023, Hassan died at the age of 36.”

The late Hassan will be buried on Friday morning at Gudi, Akwanga, the state’s Akwanga Local Government Area’s administrative center. Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, the executive chairman of Akwanga Local Government Area, has expressed astonishment over the death of the governor’s son and offered his condolences to his family.
He issued a statement expressing his sincere condolences to Engr Abdullahi Sule, his family, and the entire Gudi traditional council for their “irreparable loss” on behalf of his own family, the Akwanga LGA, and the residents of Mada land.
In the same vein, Mr. Mathew Kuju, Publisher of the community daily Eggonnews in the state, offered Governor Sule his condolences for the loss of his son.
In a statement, the publisher said: “We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your beautiful son, Hassan, who was full of life and dedicated to reaching the goals that God had set for him in life. “No sure, having to bury a son is incredibly terrible, but only Allah can explain such things.”

He used a four-year scholarship with perseverance, extra coursework, and effort to earn a BSc (1983) and an MSc (1984) in Mechanical Technology from the same Indiana State University, USA.
Even before graduating in May 1980, he was allowed to start working in 1980 when the Plateau Electricity Corporation, Jos, made the offer.
He spent roughly three months working for the company after graduating from the Government Technical College in Bukuru before transferring to Plateau State Polytechnic in September 1980.
Abdullahi Sule served his mandatory national service (NYSC) at the Plateau Utilities Board in Jos before beginning work as a production engineer at the Jos Steel Rolling Company Ltd. in 1985.
Professional Life
He had several positions at Osyka Corporation, including workshop engineer, CNC programmer, NCN operator, facility engineer, project/production engineer, and lastly director of business development for Africa and the Middle East.
In 2000, he returned to Nigeria with a group of friends and established Sadiq Petroleum Nigeria Limited in Lagos, becoming its first Managing Director/CEO.
He held directorships in Ulti- Care Pharmaceutical, Chrismatel Holdings, and IMB International Bank Plc while serving as MD/CEO of AP. He was also a partner in star-AP Oilfield Services and the chairman of AP Oilfield Service Ltd.
