Activist Ryan Carson’s girlfriend: Who is Claudia V. Morales?

Claudia V. Morales, Ryan Carson’s girlfriend, is a BLM activist who hates the police. At a BLM riot in Boston in 2020, she accused police of using force as they attempted to apprehend the demonstrators.

At the time of Ryan Carson’s unfortunate and untimely passing, he and his girlfriend Claudia Morales were not married. They were still in the midst of their romantic relationship and were devoted to one another as a boyfriend and girlfriend. Many had found happiness and inspiration in their connection.

Just hours before the tragic event that would change the path of their life forever, the couple had, by some strange coincidence, attended a wedding.

On social media, images of the two lovers at the wedding started to go viral. They looked beautiful and joyful. The note Claudia found in her late boyfriend’s phone after his unexpected death, however, would turn the circumstances into a heartbreaking twist.

She published the note on X, which was once Twitter, and it reads as follows:

“When you get right down to it, all I want is to love Claudia more than she’s ever been loved, which is frankly all she’s ever deserved.”

However, even without a legal marriage license, their dedication to one another was clear. They shared hopes, joys, and tragedies and were true partners in every meaning of the word.

The untimely death of Ryan Carson serves as a reminder to us all of the brevity of life and the value of savoring each second spent with our loved ones. Even though they weren’t legally married, their relationship was unquestionably close and their love unwavering.

The love and devotion Ryan Carson and Claudia Morales shared will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew them, establishing a lasting legacy of love and dedication.

What happened to Activist Ryan Carson?

As his grieving girlfriend disclosed a heartfelt message she discovered on his phone, a devastating photo of the Brooklyn activist who was murdered in an unprovoked stabbing last week was released showing them smiling only hours before he passed away in her arms.

In the picture shared to X at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Ryan Carson, 32, and his girlfriend were seen embracing at a wedding they attended. They were both dressed blue dresses and grey suits.

After the wedding, the couple waited for a bus in Bedford-Stuyvesant at 4 a.m. on Monday while remaining in their wedding attire. As they started to leave, an enraged guy walked by and pushed over a scooter.

The man can be seen turning to the couple in security footage that The Post was able to obtain on Tuesday, shouting “What are you looking at?” before moving forward to push Carson and smack at his face.

The attacker shouted, “I’ll kill you!” while Carson tried to calm him down, then drew a knife and stabbed the victim repeatedly in the chest. The guy then kicked the victim’s partner while he was still bleeding on the ground and appeared to spit in her face before fleeing.

The girlfriend of the victim dialed 911. Before being taken to Kings County Hospital Center, she held her seriously hurt partner in her arms. However, it was already too late because, according to police and sources, the stabbing had entered his heart.

Just a few blocks from the Bedford-Nostrand avenues train station, where the couple had gotten off the subway on their way home after the wedding, the horrifying incident took place at Lafayette Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard, according to police.

By Tuesday afternoon, no arrests had been made in connection with the horrifying incident, but a “Wanted” poster had gone around, featuring a close-up of the suspect donning a black “Champion” sweatshirt.

The murder weapon, which reports claim the suspect initially threw in a garbage heap before hurriedly returning to get it, has not been found by investigators. Investigators discovered two books and a set of spectacles that Carson’s girlfriend appeared to have been carrying throughout the violent incident. The glasses were apparently worn by the victim.

Who was Ryan Carson?

Carson was a senior solid waste campaign manager at the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) when he relocated from the Boston area to the Big Apple in 2010 to attend Pratt Institute.

According to friends who spoke to The Post, his activity focused on environmental issues and sustainability.

A statement from NYPIRG referred to Carson as “a beloved staffer, colleague, and friend, and a creative, talented, relentless, and upbeat advocate for students and the environment.”

“His engaging personality, hearty laugh, and wide-ranging intelligence were keys to his success in advancing the causes he deeply cared about in his work and personal life,” stated the organization of their loyal employee. “Ryan was a consummate team player who would happily undertake the basic ‘blocking and tackling’ tasks necessary to advance and win on an issue, but also shined in the spotlight as a leader, campaign manager and spokesperson.”

A roommate who wished to remain anonymous told The Post that 150 people showed up for a vigil held in Carson’s honor on Monday in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The roommate said Tuesday,

“At the vigil, we asked people, ‘Who here is a better person because of Ryan Carson?”

“And almost everyone in that crowd raised their hand.”

The roommate claimed that as soon as he learned of Carson’s passing, his thoughts went to the people who would be adversely affected by the devastating loss.

But he said that he had not thought as much about the alleged attacker.

The roomie added, “[The suspect] is the least important part of this conversation, I have no feelings of vengeance and I don’t think that’s healthy. I’m not angry about that.”

Tom Krantz, 31, a different roommate and friend, said on Monday that it was amazing “how much [Carson] genuinely did for the entire city and for his friends.

The roommate added, “He’s really… like the epicenter of an entire community that he created, that he brought together. I don’t think anyone is exaggerating when they say he would give the shirt off his back, He was the guy that bent over backward time and time again to be there with his friends.”

According to a friend and former classmate Alex Harristhal, 29, he once walked 500 miles across New York “to raise awareness to pass legislation for the institution of the first overdose prevention facility in the state.”

A recognized poet, Carson once wrote a poem titled “Anxiety” on his worries about dying, namely the “inconvenience” his death would cause others.

He wrote in the poem,

“That it could come while someone waits for me, that I couldn’t call to let them know I was held up.”

Acadia Cutschall, 32, attended Carson’s front porch on Monday to express her condolences. She was Carson’s classmate, volunteer, and “best friend.”

Cutschall said, “I was present once when he literally talked a guy out of mugging him, He gave him some money.”

According to Cutschall, Carson might have even helped the person who killed him if given the chance.

Tributes to Ryan Carson

Internet users and those Carson knew were saddened by his passing. There were numerous tributes, many of which expressed outrage at the murder.

Ryan’s friend, Emily Gallagher, wrote on X, “I am devastated to share that my dear friend Ryan Carson, who worked for NYPIRG and created the advocacy organization “No OD NY”, was murdered last night. I met Ryan many years ago through the DIY punk scene, and he has been a trusted friend in Albany and at home. I miss him.”

A user tweeted, “This is gutting. An awful tragedy. Ryan did so much for us.”

Another wrote, “Awful very sad and a huge loss!”

“RIP Ryan Carson, so sad,” said a third. Stabbed to death for no apparent reason. What a disgrace, @ericadamsfornyc!” “Ryan and I always argued because we had opposing political views, but he was a good guy who cared about the people around him!!” “Rest in Peace, man,” said another.

“It’s heartbreaking. “My heart goes out to his family,” one user added.

His friends held a candlelight vigil at which several others came to mourn his passing.

The unexpected death of Ryan, a passionate social justice and climate change activist, has left a great vacuum in the hearts of those who knew him and were inspired by his efforts. Following this tragic occurrence, the investigation is still ongoing, with law enforcement authorities working relentlessly to determine the circumstances surrounding Ryan Carson’s stabbing. While the community mourns this heartbreaking loss, they also unify in their commitment to honor Ryan’s legacy of activism and to guarantee that future acts of violence are handled with accountability and prevention.

  1. Are we not going to speak about their anti police stances? Sure it doesn’t justify what happened but the victim supported the pro crime policies that got him killed. Shes even photographed with an anti police shirt. Word on the street is she refused to cooperate with responding police officers? These people don’t deserve any sympathy and much less so, our money. Screw em.
