A Laurel woman died and six more people were hurt in a head-on collision between two cars in Jones County on Thursday night. Laurel city was gripped by sorrow as one of its residents, Tiara Hill passed away in a Sharon-sandersville Rd, Laurel, MS crash. This sudden death has left the community in shock and mourning. Tiara Hill, a resident of  Laurel, Mississippi passed away suddenly in an accident. In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the  Laurel community finds itself in mourning as it remembers the life of Tiara hill.

As the Police Department investigates this tragic event, questions linger and hearts ache for the families affected by these unexpected losses.

Tiara Hill lost her life in a head-on collision:

Tiara Hill was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Jones County that happened on November 23, 2023. Seven people were involved in all; one person died, four had injuries that looked to be critical, and two had injuries that looked to be moderate.

There were no reports of any additional injuries. There was significant damage to both vehicles.  Sharon Sandersville Road was closed for approximately an hour and a half while emergency personnel treated the occupants, extricated the two drivers, and cleared the scene.

JCSO, Sandersville Police, and the coroner’s office were present. Emergency medical care was rendered by Emserv Ambulance Service, which also transported the affected parties to the emergency room.

Additionally, Sandersville’s school was served by Rescue 7, and there, firefighters had set up a landing zone. The accident is still being investigated.

Accident Details:

The volunteer fire departments of Sharon, Sandersville, and Rustin responded to a head-on collision involving two vehicles on Sharon-Sandersville Road, which is located just west of I-59, this evening, just before 5:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, they discovered a four-door Nissan sedan resting in the westbound lane but facing east, a Dodge minivan off the road in the eastbound lane, and debris all over the road.

Firefighters extracted the trapped drivers of the vehicles using hydraulic equipment. Four of the Nissan’s occupants were children at the time of the collision, and the minivan contained one adult and one children.
