Preston was attacked at a Halloween party on Saturday night. Children at the party started CPR on Preston after his heart stopped, hoping to keep him alive until assistance could arrive.
Preston’s heart could be restarted, and he was subsequently transported to Chandler Regional Hospital. After that, he was sent to Phoenix Children’s with a major brain injury and was treated there.
And on Monday, his aunt, Melissa Lord confirmed his death by providing an update on a go fund me page, saying,
“Our sweet Preston passed away this afternoon surrounded by those who love and are going to miss him so much. We have no words for the support and love we have been shown. Thank you for loving us and our boy. As memorial service information unfolds I will be sure to post it.”

The family of Arizona has acknowledged that it is connected to a GoFundMe established for Combs High School junior basketball player Preston Lord. According to the fundraising post, he was hospitalized after suffering an attack during a Halloween celebration. Neither school administrators nor police have provided more details about what transpired as of yet.
Police Investigation:
The Queen Creek Police Department is seeking information following the death of a boy during a party on Saturday. Police requested video of persons or cars in the area between Ocotillo Road and Chandler Heights Boulevard, as well as Sossaman Road and Hawes Road, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. in a Facebook post.
