According to Captain Umbrino, there was no connection between the store and the targeted shooting. A homicide inquiry was launched on the city’s north side Sunday evening.
Captain Umbrino stated, “The victim was standing there and the suspect walked in and basically executed him.”

Shortly after 7 p.m., police arrived at the scene on Hudson Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered an individual who had sustained gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The man was pronounced dead at the spot.
