In a tragic incident during the early hours of the morning on September 20, a motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with a tree. The accident occurred near the junction of Bournville Lane and Bristol Road, close to Bournville Police Station and the Valley Parkway Park and Garden.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police provided information regarding the incident, stating that there is a road closure on Bristol Road near Bournville Lane in Birmingham.

Regrettably, a motorcyclist, a man in his twenties, lost his life in the collision with a tree. Emergency services were promptly on the scene, and the road remained closed.

A tweet was posted at 4.54 a.m. to disseminate news of this tragic event. The Inrix traffic management system reported that a serious accident had closed A38 Bristol Road South southbound from Witherford Way (Bournville, Birmingham) to Hole Lane (Weoley Castle).

Traffic is coping well. The road was shut just before 5 a.m. this morning. A motorbike has been reported to have collided with a tree.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service provided further details, stating that the incident occurred just before 2:00 a.m. on Bristol Road in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham. An ambulance crew, who were returning to base, witnessed the crash and immediately provided care to the rider.
