Who was Dr. Robert Bibb?
Dr. Robert D. Bibb is a dermatologist in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and is linked with several local hospitals, including Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Robert D. Bibb, M.E., M.D. studied engineering as an undergraduate and graduate student before earning his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina. He spent two years in the United States Public Health Service. He was named Outstanding Intern of the Year during this time.
He later worked in South Carolina’s McClellanville Community, where he got a Public Health Service commendation for exceptional community service as a senior assistant surgeon.
Later, he completed a dermatology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina under the supervision of renowned dermatologist Dr. Richard Dobson.
His most recent triumphs include the publication of works on cancer prevention and the creation of a new technology that may be used in the application of sunscreen. He is the founder of Waccamaw Dermatology and has been a dermatologist in private practice for over thirty years.
