Born and raised in Newport, Dale Tucker’s most recent appearance on the rugby field occurred last Saturday when he played for Newport Saracens in their WRU League East 4 victory over Bedwellty.

His rugby league journey commenced in his youth as a junior player for Newport Titans, earning a U19 cap for Wales in 2009, contributing to a 30-6 win over Scotland U19. The culmination of his Wales Dragonhearts career in 2011-12 saw him play a pivotal role in their triumphant “grand slam” victory against England, Ireland, and Scotland, securing the Community Four Nations title.

Notably, Tucker’s outstanding performances led to him being honored with the “Young Player of the Year” award in 2011. Following Newport Titans’ disbandment, he seamlessly transitioned to Torfaen Tigers, showcasing his scoring prowess in both English and Welsh competitions.
