Cathal Mccrory passed away:

The 18-year-old, Cathal Mccrory has died after an car crash on November 18, 2023. He was the grandson of Sean McCrory Snr.

According to police, a young man from county town named Cathal Mccrory has passed away following a collision in Co Down. The incident took place on Saturday after 12.30 am on Circular Road in Katesbridge.

Sergeant Miller-Devlin stated, “Unfortunately, the man, a front-seat passenger in a grey Volkswagen Golf, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers provided first aid alongside colleagues from other emergency services.”

Accident unfolds:

The single-vehicle accident occurred in Katesbridge in the early hours of Saturday morning. The victim was a passenger in the vehicle. Two more persons were admitted to the hospital.

“Shortly after 12.30am on Saturday, November 18, police received a report of a single vehicle collision on the Circular Road,” stated Sergeant Miller-Devlin of the Collision Investigation Unit.

“The vehicle’s driver and another passenger have been transported to the hospital for medical attention. For a while, officers blocked the road while inquiries were conducted at the spot.

Police requests public assistance:

Authorities are now asking public to come forward. “We are appealing for information and witnesses. We specifically ask that anyone who was in the area between 12 a.m. and 12.30 a.m. check any dash-cam footage they may have and give us a call at 101.”, said the police.

“34 of 18/11/23 is the reference number to quote.”
