The sudden death of firefighter Caden Ella Shows has been announced by City of Moss Point Fire Department with deep grief. Caden had been a member of Moss Point Fire Department. She was a superb firefighter, adored family member and a very good friend to everyone she came into contact with

She passed away leaving a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and the entire community. Here’s what we know about the Caden Ella Shows’s passing.

Caden Ella Shows passed away:

Caden Ella Shows, a much-loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, died on November 10, 2023, at the age of 22. She was a very sweet person with a sweet smile on her face always.

Caden’s demise news was announced by City of Moss Point Fire Department in the following statement that reads,

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the Moss Point Fire Department shares the news of the passing of Firefighter Caden E. Shows. The unexpected death of Firefighter Shows has left us shocked and heartbroken. The Moss Point Fire Department and the City of Moss Point now have a void in our family that will be hard to fill. On behalf of the Moss Point Fire Department and the City of Moss Point, we extend our deepest sympathies to those who knew and loved her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, fellow firefighters, friends, and loved ones.

Those who knew her will always feel a vacuum in their hearts because of her unexpected passing. The depths of Ella’s nature and enthusiasm for life will never be known by those who have never met her.

We send the Caden’s family our sincere condolences as they cope with this profound loss.

Who was Caden Ella Shows?

Caden Shows was born on January 2, 2001, in Laurel, Mississippi. She was predeceased by her “Pa Pa,” Mr. Lewis R. Long, and her great-grandmother, Mrs. Judy Williamson.

Her father, Carby Shows (Ashley), siblings, Jett Windham, Caleb Shows, Sophia Shows, Christian Shows, and Charli-Kate Shows, as well as several other family members and friends, survive her. Her mother, Jan Windham (Stephen), also survives her.

Caden graduated in 2019 from West Jones High School. She attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, after graduating from high school.

Ella shows relocated to Pascagoula, MS, in 2021 to pursue her goal of becoming a fireman. She received her diploma on May 25, 2023, from Fire Academy in Jackson MS. She worked for the Moss Point Fire Department as a firefighter. She was devoted to her work and her fellow firefighters.

Caden was a lovely child of God with a heart as big as the sun. She had a distinct talent for making every individual in her life feel valued and special. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation and Funeral service:

Local visitation for Caden Ella Shows will take place at O’Bryant – O’Keefe Funeral Home in Pascagoula on Sunday, November 12, 2023, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

Location:  O’Bryant – O’Keefe Funeral Home, 4811 Telephone Road, Pascagoula, MS 39567.
Out of Town Services:
A final viewing will take place on Tuesday, November, 14, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. All services on Tuesday will be held at the First Baptist Church or Sharon, 4375 Sharon Road, Laurel, MS 39443.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. The Graveside Service will be held at Sharon Cemetery. Her fellow firefighter who knew and loved her will serve as pallbearers and take part in the Last Call Ceremony. “Look for me in the Sunset”
