Christian Franco Figueiredo passed away suddenly leaving his friends and family in deep grief. The information was released by Viviane Torres, the athlete’s wife, at around 8:47 p.m.

“We’re saddened by the news of Brazilian bodybuilder Christian Figuereido, who reportedly passed away after complications from liver surgery. Christian has just earned his IFBB pro card this past July at Muscle Contest Brazil. @fisiculturismonewsonline was the first to report, and we have received confirmation from inside the Brazilian bodybuilding community.

Who was Christian Figueiredo?
Christian Figueiredo was a rising Brazilian bodybuilder. The 29-year-old bodybuilder had earned his pro card (“professional card”; an honor that guarantees bodybuilders the right to compete in the professional league, the IFBB) months ago.
“Chris”, as he was known, was in the Open category (a division in which there is no weight limit, where the most muscular athletes are) and would debut in the Professional League in 2024.
Christian Figueiredo cause of death:
Christian cause of death has not been officially announced. However, on an Instagram post, his friends Fernando “Superman” and Ricardo Alexandre, “Rudeboy”, stated that, in the afternoon, they received news that a surgery the athlete was undergoing presented problems, which caused a stroke and hemorrhage.
Another source confirms that he passed away due to complications in a surgical process to remove a nodule in the liver. According to what was said, the athlete suffered a hemorrhage, followed by a heart attack and died.
Unfortunately, Chris died after complications from liver surgery. According to his friends, he underwent a “simple” surgery, but that “complications” worsened the condition and culminated in a heart attack inside the Hospital das Clínicas, in São Paulo.
The wake will take place at 10:30 am next Tuesday (17) at the Valle Dos Reis Cemetery, which is located on the Régis Bittencourt highway nº5901, in Taboão da Serra (SP). The burial is scheduled for 2:30 p.m., in the same place.
