It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Rivera. Bruce, a social media influencer and attorney passed away on November 19, 2023, Sunday at 8 pm. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Keep reading to know more about Att. Bruce Rivera and his cause of death in detail.

Atty. Bruce Rivera passed away:

Atty. Bruce Rivera died following an aneurysm, as his friend and political vlogger, MJ Quiambao announced it on social media. His death occurred a year after he suffered from an aneurysm.

This heart-wrenching news was also confirmed by his niece, saying that, Bruce had a stroke and fell into a coma for a while.

Rivera, who was a prominent supporter of the Duterte political clan passed away leaving his friends and family members in a deep sorrow.

Kat Sinsuat De Castro, Deputy director general at the Philippine Information Agency also shared her condolence in the following FB post, saying,

My heart is breaking. Rest in peace to my staunchest defender, Atty. Bruce V. Rivera.

I love you so much, my dear friend. I will miss our chikahan and your contagious laughter.

The world just got a little sadder.

Who was Atty. Bruce Rivera?

Atty. Bruce Rivera was a social media influencer as well as a lawyer. Rivera, a native of Argao in Cebu province became famous as he defended businesswoman and alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.

After being found guilty of unlawfully detaining her finance officer, Benhur Luy, Napoles served her prison term at the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City. She is also charged with plunder as a co-accused in cases involving the pork barrel scam against former senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, and Bong Revilla.

Rivera completed his legal education at San Beda College of Law, the same institution where the President completed his legal education.

Rivera earned a bachelor of arts in political science with honors from Southwestern University in 2001, graduating with a magna cum laude degree. In 2005, he graduated with a bachelor of law from San Beda College and passed the bar exam in 2006.

Atty. Bruce Rivera cause of death:

Almost an year ago, Rivera was taken to the hospital unconscious and unresponsive. After that, it was known that Rivera underwent brain surgery after suffering an aneurysm.

Everyone requested to pray for Rivera. One of his friends, Reyes also requested the public to pray for her friend.

This health condition caused Bruce to go into a coma, but he recovered and was eventually able to wake up. When he streamed live on Facebook about two months ago, he was surrounded by friends and appeared to be in a wheelchair.

Unfortunately, Rivera’s death news broke out suddenly and shocked everyone. Tributes flooded social media after this sudden demise news broke out.
